Special Forces Home Inspections was founded in 2003, with the simple mission of providing our clients with the most professional and complete home inspection in Hilton Head, Bluffton and the surrounding areas. Shortly after forming our company our founder Ken Robinson was recalled again to active military duty, and began his second tour in Afghanistan with the U.S. Army Special Forces. This left the company with a void to fill but fortunately Ron Clifford stepped up and became our second certified inspector. Mr. Clifford, Ken’s father in law, was a natural; having over 20 years Habitat construction leader experience, retired from Eli-Lily as Director of Sales, and a Pharmacy degree. he is both technically and professionally suited to oversee the operations of a business. Our inspectors have both attended the American Society of Home Inspectors training class; as well as the National Association of Mold Professional mold inspector and abatement certification training. We are members of NACHI, and NAMP trade organizations. It is a requirement for all our inspectors to not only meet the continuing education of these trade organizations; but we also require our inspectors to obtain one additional inspection certification every year.

Ken Robinson is a graduate of Florida State University School of Criminology and more recently The American Home Inspectors Training Institute (AHIT). Ken is a 37 year veteran of U.S. Army, serving most of those 37 years in various Special Operations units. He moved to Hilton Head in 2002 after his first tour in Afghanistan with the U.S. Army Special Forces. One of the main reasons Ken and his family moved to the Hilton Head was due to the tremendous support his family received from the local community while he was deployed in 2002. Ken’s family moved to the island to live with his in-laws while he was deployed and they decided to make the move permanent because of the wonderful community and small town feel of Hilton Head. Shortly after starting this new business. Ken was recalled again to active duty and served a second tour in Afghanistan. Ron Clifford, his father in law, ran the business, along with his wife, Leslie, and mother in law Judi, while Ken was deployed. Ron Clifford is a graduate of The University of Houston School of Pharmacy and more recently The American Home Inspectors Training Institute (AHIT). Ron worked for Eli-Lily for 31 years, retiring as Director of Sales. He has served on numerous local boards including Habitat for Humanity, Beaufort County Elections and the St. Lukes Vestry. Since retiring he has spent his time volunteering throughout the Hilton Head community, including over 20 years with Habitat for Humanity. Ron came out of "retirement" to run Special Forces Home Inspections when Ken his son in law was recalled to active military duty for a second time. Ron has been an island resident since 1995 and he looks forward to meeting all your home and mold inspection needs.
